There are two languages in New Zealand - English and Te-Reo.

 

Te-Reo is the name of the indigenous

group, Maori language.

 

Two polite phrases are "tena koe" which means "Greetings to you" and "ta" which means "Thank you".

 

You might be called a "loopy" which means tourist. Because tourists drive around the island in a circle.
